Privacy information

Pro Messenger collects personal and business information when you create an account, request a service, sign an agreement, upload verification documents or contact our team. This page explains the purposes of these forms and how to raise a privacy request under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who to contact

Pro Messenger, 58 Hannah Road, Durban, 4001, South Africa. Send privacy questions to info@promessenger.co.za and ask for the Information Officer. Do not attach identity documents to an initial privacy enquiry.

What the forms collect and why

Required information

Form validation identifies information needed to process a request. If you do not supply it, we may be unable to create your account, respond, process your agreement or complete verification. Do not supply unrelated personal information or documents.

Service providers and sharing

Depending on your requested service, relevant information is processed by our team and service providers. WhatsApp setup involves WATI and Meta; payment checkout is handled by PayFast. Hosting, domain and email services may involve their respective providers. Provider processing may take place outside South Africa. Contact us for details of the recipients, processing locations and safeguards applicable to your service before supplying information if you need clarification.

Your privacy choices and requests

You may request access to your information, correction of inaccurate details, deletion where applicable, or object to processing as permitted by POPIA. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. These rights are subject to applicable legal requirements; deletion is not automatic where records must lawfully be retained. Contact us about the retention period applicable to a particular record.

Submitting a service request is not, by itself, consent to unrelated marketing.

Complaints

You can raise a concern with us or contact South Africa's Information Regulator for information on lodging a complaint. The Regulator explains data-subject rights in its privacy guidance.

Our POPIA form notice is privacy information, not a certification seal or a guarantee of absolute security.
